WCCC upgrades campus security
Westmoreland County Community College upgraded campus security for the fall semester with the addition of the Westmoreland County Park Police as the primary law enforcement agency of the Youngwood campus.
The park police serve as armed, uniformed offices and have a permanent office in Founders Hall Room 815. All inquiries about crime reports or services should be directed to them at 724-925-4250.
Jim Davis, coordinator/security, serves as the college liaison with the park police and is involved with education issues, student and employee discipline and Title IX compliance along with other duties.
Contract security services that the college previously utilized remain in place at the Youngwood campus and at all education centers weekdays and Saturday from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. and all day Sundays.
“WCCC is being proactive around the issue of safety and security for our students, employees and guests,” said WCCC President Tuesday Stanley.
